LaRinda this sketch is lovely you should do more of this, I love it and always wished I could sketch...
I remember 4H horse shows. The dirt, the prep work, the dust, the outfits, the poop, the white hat flying off, the humiliation of finishing out of the ribbons or joy of getting a red. And the constant wind in Goldendale, Wash., stirring up more dust. I only put myself through it one year, with my aging Arab-cross mare - Suzi - and her two-month-old filly; never again, though my memories are mostly good ones. The best: the utter freedom of galloping full-tilt around the outdoor dirt track surrounding the rodeo grounds. I'd never felt so much like Suzi and I were flying.
Oh, this is reallllllly pretty. And... did you say waxing?
